Two ways to catch bugs before your customers do. Both are AI testing tools that a team can start on its own. vikingQA stores every test in your own code repository, in a standard open format (Playwright), and gives developers and non-technical testers a way to contribute to it.

|---|---|---|
| Model | Tool. An AI testing tool with a self-serve free tier and an enterprise tier through sales. | Tool. A self-serve product your team uses. |
| Who writes the tests | The customer's team, with the tool's AI. | Your developers, your non-technical testers and the vikingQA agent. |
| Who keeps the tests working | Momentic states that its tests "auto-heal". | Self-healing tests: when your application changes and a test is out of date, the agent explores again and heals the test. vikingQA can merge the healed test by itself, or your team reviews it first. You choose. |
| Hosting region | Momentic states that test execution can run inside the customer's network through its CLI. | EU. AI model inference runs in the United States by default. |
| Pricing model | A free self-serve tier. An enterprise tier through sales, which lists SAML SSO, SCIM, an audit log and an uptime SLA. | A Free plan, a Team plan at €500 a month with 10 seats, and an Enterprise plan by quote. AI credits every month, with top-ups. |
| Best fit | Teams that want an AI testing tool and can start on a free tier. | Teams that want the tests as code in their own git, and want developers and business testers on one suite. |

Momentic states that it is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant.
Most testing tools have one kind of user. vikingQA has three. A business analyst or a key user records a flow with the browser extension, or describes it in chat. The agent turns it into a test, and the test lands in the repository your developers already use.
Click through your application as usual. The recorder writes down each step.
Your tests are stored in your own code repository, in a standard open format. If you cancel, every test stays and keeps running. Self-healing tests: when your application changes and a test is out of date, the agent explores again and heals the test. Each healed test is a change in your repository with a history, and your team can review it first if you want.
For developers: Every test is plain Playwright in your git. Cancel tomorrow and you keep every test. Run them in the vikingQA cloud or in your own CI: a run is code execution. Each change is a pull request. You merge it yourself, or you turn on automatic merge and vikingQA merges it for you.
import { test, expect } from '@playwright/test';
test('Guest checkout', async ({ page }) => {
await test.step('Add a product', async () => {
await page.goto('/products');
await page.getByRole('button', {
name: 'Add to cart'
}).first().click();
});
await test.step('Check the cart', async () => {
await expect(page.getByText('1 item'))
.toBeVisible();
});
});vikingQA is hosted in the EU. The security page shows where each kind of data is processed, including the AI model providers. Sending results and evidence to Xray or Zephyr Scale, so that each requirement in Jira shows the test that covers it and the last result, is on our roadmap.
Watch the run again, up to the moment it went wrong.
The two products make different choices. Momentic is probably the better choice in these situations.
The AI works at a different moment. In vikingQA, the agent uses AI to write and heal tests, and the result is a Playwright file. A run of that file is code execution and costs no AI credits.
Some exist today: the roles Owner, Admin, Member and Customer, project-scoped API tokens, encrypted secrets and fixed-IP egress. Single sign-on with SAML, SCIM provisioning, an audit log with export, private runners, and SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification are on our roadmap.
Yes. Use fixed-IP egress and add our addresses to your allow-list. Your own CI can run the tests inside your network today, because they are plain Playwright in your repository. Private vikingQA runners are on our roadmap.
Momentic has a free tier, and its enterprise tier is through its sales team. vikingQA has three plans. A Free plan, a Team plan at €500 a month with 10 seats, and an Enterprise plan by quote. Each has a monthly AI credit allowance. When you reach it, top up in the app.
